Outcome: a documented skill in the library, plus an intentional copy in a tool or vault. You need: workspace Owner or Admin to author a library skill. Copying into a vault also requires write access to that destination.

1. Define one job

Choose a bounded task such as turning reviewed meeting notes into a decision summary. Specify the input, output, and when the skill should be used. Create a package in Skills, open SKILL.md, and start with:

2. Add supporting text

Use Add → Reference for a sample output or a terminology guide. Save the package and review each referenced path. If it depends on another skill, make that dependency explicit; importing one package does not automatically bring its siblings.

3. Choose distribution

For an agent tool: download the ZIP and install it using that tool’s supported skill mechanism. Northern Logic does not execute the package. For source enhancement: copy suitable Markdown instructions into the destination vault’s skills/ folder, then select them in Convert’s AI enhancement controls. For a Partner client: assign the library resource to the sibling workspace, then let that workspace decide whether to download or copy it.

4. Test with noncritical notes

Run the skill in your chosen tool, compare the result with the sources, and check that it preserves uncertainty. Save approved output as ordinary Knowledge Markdown if it should become a reference.

5. Maintain copies deliberately

Update the library when instructions improve, then reinstall or recopy where needed. Existing tool installations and vault copies do not automatically update. Check the package version where available.

Check your result

Your chosen tool can discover the installed skill and produce a result that matches the supplied notes. A reviewer can trace decisions to source paths, and missing owners or deadlines remain explicitly unknown.

If it did not work

If the tool cannot discover the skill, check where it was installed. A library package or vault copy is not automatically installed in the tool. For enhancement, check that the selected Markdown skill is in the destination vault. Next: Company writing.
