# Conversion credits

> Understand included credits, optional packs, and failed conversions.

Credits pay for extracting external sources and optional AI enhancement.
Creating and editing Markdown, ordinary Markdown import, reading, and core
knowledge organization do not require buying extra conversion credits.

## Included and purchased credits

Solo includes 50 credits per billing period. Teams includes 150 plus 40 per
purchased seat; for two seats, that is 230. Partner credits are pooled across
the account's workspaces according to its configured allowance.

Included credits reset each billing period and do not roll over. Purchased
credit packs accumulate and do not reset with the included allowance. The
product spends available included credits before purchased credits.

## Check usage or buy a pack

1. Open **Manage account → Billing** if you have billing permission.
2. Review the included-credit usage and available purchased balance.
3. Use the optional credit-pack action, review the confirmation and current
   price, then complete Checkout if you want the pack.

Partner client members should ask their account owner about usage. An exhausted
pool can affect conversion in several client workspaces.

## Why conversion actions cost different amounts

Document extraction, URL extraction, text enhancement, and photo enhancement use
different operations. One source may incur extraction plus enhancement when both
are requested. The configured costs and available services can change; inspect
the app's usage rather than assuming one imported source always equals one
credit.

Credits are reserved before provider processing. Failed provider operations
refund their reservation. If a result saved successfully, deleting the resulting
Markdown is not a refund action. If a failed attempt appears to leave usage
incorrect, record the time and error and contact support before repeatedly
retrying.

## If you run out

Use ordinary Markdown writing/import, wait for the next included period, or have
an eligible billing owner purchase a pack. Credit exhaustion does not suspend
the workspace.
